Taapsee Pannu On Star Kids Replacing Outsiders: “Hua Hai, Aage Bhi Hoga”
Taapsee Pannu is gearing up for her next, a dark thriller, Game Over, which is produced by Anurag Kashyap. While the actress was on promotional interviews, we caught up with the Pink actress On Friday (May 31) where she spoke to us about her film, nepotism, getting replaced in the Kartik Aaryan-Bhumi Pednekar-Ananya Panday starrer Pati, Patni Aur Woh remake and also about her relationship status.

We asked her about her struggle in the industry as an outsider. Taapsee told us, “The struggle is longer and tougher. You have to keep proving yourself time and again. I don’t know when will that sense of security come as an outsider that, “Okay! now it’s pretty stable. Even if my films don’t work, I’ll get multiple chances.” That complacent attitude doesn’t come in an outsider that easily. I can talk for myself. I am not really sure if tomorrow my film doesn’t work or if I have one or two big flops, will I get a film after that. That is the difference because there’s no once backing us up. And I think there’s a big plus also, my audience really relates to me, because they know m from outside. I have this biggest card that is the fact that I am an outsider and that work’s in my favour.”

We also asked her if it is very easy for an outsider to get replaced by a star kid, she replied, “Replacement because of the star kid hua hai, aage bhi hoga. I am prepared for it. I knew that this would happen when I entered the film industry and honestly I am not surprised. Bura lagega, which is natural, but it’s not like ki aree mujhe toh pata hi nahi tha aisa hoga. Mujhe pata tha aisa hoga, uske bawajood bhi main aayi hun film industry mein. If someone probably never thought that this will happen is probably is someone who has not done good enough homework about the Industry. It will happen and I have kinda made peace with it and I am making my way around in spite of this.”

For those who’ve come in late,  Taapsee Pannu was replaced in the BR Chopra’s Pati, Patni Aur Woh remake overnight and there were also rumours that Kartik Aaryan had played the villain. Replying to which she said that she has also heard these rumours, and she thinks Kartik Aaryan would be the better person to answer this.
